Getting Started

8 questions
Can I browse the network before paying?

Yes. You can create a free account and browse provider profiles, explore service categories, and see what’s available in the network — all before paying anything. The $149 access fee is only charged when you submit your first project.

DueDilio is a curated marketplace that connects business buyers, sellers, and intermediaries with vetted M&A service providers. Instead of spending weeks finding and evaluating service providers, you submit a project describing what you need, and qualified providers in our network send you tailored proposals — typically within a few hours. The platform covers the full deal lifecycle: due diligence, buy-side advisory, sell-side preparation, valuation, tax structuring, and post-acquisition support.

DueDilio serves three main audiences: business buyers (individual acquirers, search funds, private equity firms), business sellers preparing for or going through a sale, and intermediaries (brokers, M&A advisors, investment bankers) who need trusted service providers for their clients’ transactions. The platform is built for the lower middle market — where quality advisory is hardest to find.

Not at all. Our guided project form is specifically designed for this. Describe your deal — the industry, approximate size, and where you are in the process — and the form will help identify the right services. It also includes built-in pricing guidance so you know what to expect before proposals arrive. Many first-time buyers start by submitting a general project and refining from there.

Referrals are limited to whoever your network happens to know, and Google can’t tell you who’s actually good at lower middle market M&A work. DueDilio pre-vets every provider for relevant deal experience, credentials, and client outcomes — the majority of applicants are declined. When you submit a project, multiple qualified providers compete for your business with tailored proposals, so you can compare scope, approach, and pricing side by side instead of relying on a single recommendation.

Yes — buyers under LOI are one of our most common use cases. Submit your project with your timeline details, and providers who can meet your deadlines will respond. Many QofE providers in our network can begin within days of engagement, and proposals typically arrive within a few hours of posting. Include your exclusivity deadline in the project description — it helps providers prioritize and self-select.

Sellers use DueDilio to find providers for exit readiness, business valuation, CIM preparation, tax structuring, and sell-side representation. Whether you’re exploring a sale or already in negotiations, you can submit a project and receive proposals from specialists who focus on lower middle market sell-side transactions. The platform works the same for sellers as for buyers — describe your situation, and qualified providers respond with tailored proposals.

Absolutely. DueDilio doesn’t replace your broker — it complements them. Brokers handle the transaction process, but you may still need specialists for tax structuring, legal review, valuation, or other services your broker doesn’t provide. Many sellers and buyers use DueDilio alongside their broker or advisor to fill specific gaps in their deal team.

Pricing & Fees

8 questions

The $149 fee is a one-time lifetime access charge — not a subscription. It keeps the platform sustainable without taking a percentage of your advisory fees. It also serves as a quality filter: every project posted is real, and providers invest time responding with tailored, substantive proposals. There are no per-project fees or commissions charged to clients. What the provider quotes is what you pay them directly.

Yes. You pay $149 once and keep access to DueDilio forever — no renewals, no recurring charges, no price increases for existing members. It covers unlimited projects across all service categories, for every deal you do.

DueDilio doesn’t charge clients any commission, success fee, or percentage on provider engagements. Your only cost is the $149 one-time access fee. Once you select a provider, your financial relationship is entirely between you and them — you pay providers directly. On the other side of the marketplace, providers pay their own fees to participate in the DueDilio network, which is what keeps the platform curated and sustainable.

DueDilio’s guided project form includes built-in pricing guidance. As you describe your project, the form shows typical fee ranges for the services you’re selecting — so you have realistic expectations before a single proposal arrives. When proposals come in, you can compare pricing, scope, and approach side by side across multiple providers, making it easy to assess whether a quote is competitive.

Absolutely. Your $149 access covers every service category on the platform — due diligence, buy-side, sell-side, post-acquisition, legal, tax, valuation, and more. Post as many projects as you need, in any combination of categories, at any time.

The Founder Advisory Session ($399, one-time) gives you hands-on support from the DueDilio team. This includes a scoping call to help define your project, priority provider matching, help evaluating proposals, and guidance on selecting the right provider. It’s designed for first-time buyers and complex transactions where having an experienced guide makes a real difference. You can schedule it at any point — the fee has no expiration date.

It’s rare but possible for very niche or unusual projects. If you don’t receive proposals within 48 hours, contact our team and we’ll work with you to adjust the project scope, expand the provider match, or find an alternative path. Your platform access remains active regardless.

The $149 platform fee is non-refundable because it grants lifetime access and covers the cost of provider matching across unlimited projects. However, if you have a specific concern about the value you’ve received, reach out to our team — we’ll work with you to make it right. Our goal is to make sure every client finds the right providers for their deal.

“I’ve used DueDilio for three acquisitions now. The $149 has probably saved me tens of thousands in time I would have spent sourcing and vetting advisors on my own. It’s the easiest decision in the entire deal process.”

Provider Network

5 questions

Every provider in the network undergoes a multi-step vetting process that covers professional credentials, relevant M&A experience, references, and ongoing performance monitoring. The majority of applicants are declined. Providers who don’t meet the standard — or who consistently underperform — are removed from the network. Learn about our network →

The network includes specialists across four core areas: due diligence (financial/QofE, legal, commercial, operational, HR, technology, environmental, insurance), buy-side advisory (deal search, valuation, deal coaching, search fund advisory), sell-side services (exit readiness, valuation, CIM preparation, buyer identification), and post-acquisition support (accounting, CFO services, technology, operations, HR integration). Explore all service categories →

Matching is automatic. When you submit a project, the platform identifies providers whose expertise, industry experience, and deal-size focus align with your specific needs. Qualified providers are notified and can review your project details before deciding whether to submit a proposal. This means every proposal you receive is from someone who has actively chosen to pursue your project — not a random assignment.

Anonymous profiles ensure that providers earn projects based on qualifications and proposal quality — not brand recognition or name recognition. This levels the playing field, meaning you might discover a highly experienced boutique firm that would have been invisible in a Google search. Provider identities are fully revealed in their proposals, so you always know exactly who you’re considering before engaging.

We take client feedback seriously. If you’ve had a negative experience with a provider in the DueDilio network, contact our team. We investigate all complaints, and providers who receive consistently poor feedback or fail to meet professional standards are removed from the network. Ongoing performance monitoring is a core part of how we maintain quality.

Proposals & Hiring

8 questions

Proposals typically start arriving within a few hours of submitting your project. Providers have 7 business days to review and respond, so additional proposals may come in over the following days. For most project types, you’ll have multiple proposals to compare within 24 hours.

Each proposal includes the provider’s background and relevant experience, their proposed approach to your specific project, a clear scope of work, timeline, and pricing. Proposals are tailored to your project details — they’re not generic templates. This gives you everything you need to evaluate and compare providers before scheduling an interview.

No. There’s zero obligation to hire anyone. Review proposals, interview providers, and decide on your own timeline. If none of the proposals are the right fit, that’s completely fine — your access remains active for the next time.

Initial messaging happens on-platform through DueDilio’s built-in messaging system. This keeps your communication organized and gives you a record of discussions. Once you’re ready to interview or move forward with a provider, conversations typically move off-platform to phone calls, video calls, or email — whatever works best for both parties.

Payments happen directly between you and the provider you hire — DueDilio is not involved in that transaction. You negotiate scope, pricing, and payment terms directly with your chosen provider. There’s no commission or intermediary billing charged to you on the engagement.

Yes, and many clients do. A single acquisition might need a QofE firm, a legal team, a commercial due diligence analyst, and a tax advisor. You can post separate projects for each service need, or post one project covering multiple categories. The platform is designed to help you assemble the full deal team, not just find one provider.

Yes. If you realize your project scope needs adjusting — different service type, updated timeline, more detail on the deal — you can contact the DueDilio team to modify your existing project or submit a new one. There’s no additional fee for resubmitting, and your lifetime access means you can post as many projects as you need.

Once you’ve selected a provider and agreed on scope and terms, your engagement is directly between you and them — DueDilio is not involved in the work itself. You’ll communicate, share materials, and make payments directly with your provider. DueDilio’s role is complete once the match is made. That said, if any issues arise during or after the engagement, our team is reachable and we take provider conduct seriously. Your platform access remains active for any future projects.

Privacy & Confidentiality

4 questions

Providers can see your project details (service needed, deal size range, industry, timeline) but your personal identity and contact information remain private until you decide to move forward with a specific provider. You control when and with whom to share your details.

Yes. Project details are only visible to providers in the DueDilio network who are matched to your project type. Information is not shared publicly, sold to third parties, or used for marketing purposes. All providers in the network are professional M&A service firms who understand the sensitivity of deal information.

No. DueDilio never solicits or poaches intermediary clients. Your client relationships are fully protected. DueDilio’s role is to connect you with providers for your clients’ deals — not to compete with you. The platform is designed to make your deal process more efficient, not to disintermediate you. Learn more about the intermediary experience →

Providers agree to DueDilio’s terms of service, which include professional conduct standards. Once you hire a provider, your ongoing relationship is between you and them. However, providers are expected to maintain professional boundaries and not use the platform to engage in unsolicited outreach to clients on unrelated matters.

Account & Platform

6 questions

Any M&A-related service need — due diligence (QofE, legal, commercial, insurance, IT), buy-side search and advisory, sell-side preparation and representation, valuation, tax structuring, and post-acquisition support including accounting, operations, technology, and HR. If you’re not sure whether your need fits, submit a project or reach out — we’ll let you know.

Yes — this is one of the most common ways intermediaries use DueDilio. You submit the project on your client’s behalf, review proposals, and manage the provider selection process. Your clients don’t need their own accounts. The $149 access fee covers your account, and you can submit unlimited projects for any number of clients across all service categories. Learn more about the intermediary experience →

Accounts are individual. Each team member who needs to submit projects or communicate with providers should have their own account. This ensures proposal history, messaging, and project management stay organized per user. Each account requires its own $149 access fee.

DueDilio is built for SMB and lower middle market transactions. This is the segment where quality advisory is hardest to find: too large for generalist accountants and attorneys, too small for the large M&A firms. The providers in our network specialize in SMB and lower middle market deals and understand the unique dynamics of these transactions.

You’re still welcome to submit a project. Some providers in the network handle smaller or larger transactions, and the matching system will identify those who are the best fit for your specific deal size. The lower middle market is where the majority of our network specializes, but it’s not a hard cutoff.

No. Your $149 gives you lifetime access. Whether your next deal is in six months or six years, your account and full platform access remain active. There are no activity requirements and no expiration dates.

For Service Providers

3 questions

Providers apply through our online application, which covers your firm’s background, M&A transaction experience, credentials, areas of specialization, and deal-size focus. Applications are reviewed by the DueDilio team, and accepted providers go through an onboarding process before being matched with projects. The network is selective — the majority of applicants are declined — so we look for demonstrated experience in the lower middle market. Apply to join the provider network →

When a client submits a project that matches your expertise, industry focus, and deal-size range, you’re notified automatically. You can review the project details — including scope, timeline, and deal context — and decide whether to submit a proposal. There’s no obligation to respond to every project. You have 7 business days to review and submit a tailored proposal, and clients evaluate all proposals before choosing who to interview.

Providers pay fees to participate in the DueDilio network. The fee structure varies by provider type and is covered during the application and onboarding process. There’s no cost to apply — fees only apply once you’re accepted and begin receiving project leads. For details on provider pricing,
